I was wandering around the web today and I stumbled onto a comic art message board that puts up weekly “challenges” for it’s artist. Weekly projects, for the purpose of friendly competition and artistic practice. The one currently in progress was simple enough: Draw Wolverine fighting Spider-Man. Christ, I haven’t drawn superheroes in years, but it looked like fun so I gave it a shot.

It turned out to be an absolute joy to draw this thing. Reminded me of how much comic books inspired me as a young artist. The contest rules were for only pencil or pen and ink drawings, although I think I will color this tonight or tomorrow. We’ll see.
