I should note that I know absolutely nothing about Green Lantern.  Which makes it odd that I often find myself doodling him randomly. I guess I just like the design. Although when it came time to look up his costume for this piece, I discovered that I hadn’t gotten it anywhere close.

Oh well.

I’ve never been too interested in Superman over the years. Some cable station was running a Superman movie marathon last weekend, and it got me really thinking about the character. What would need changed in order for me to like and get involved and invested in the character.

And the one thing that I found didn’t need to be changed?

The costume.

I am currently in the, quite long and involved, process of some major life changes, and am frequently bouncing back and forth between Canada and the U.S. in the process.

I am also reevaluating and reassessing my art and the  comic as a whole. I am, quite literally, spending twice the amount of time on each individual comic, and while the time invested has significantly increased, I also believe it shows in the art.

I have no intention of abandoning the comic, and it pains me when ever a comic is late, or worse yet, doesn’t go up at all.

So, I apologize and all I ask of you is your patience. I really do  appreciate every single person that reads and enjoys my work. I want to continue to improve and reward your time here.

Nova Scotia is so gorgeous because you have the ocean on one side, the bay on the other and a valley in the middle. There are amazing views almost whereever you go.

I think I produced 25 comics that first year after I began (counting from that May until the end of the calendar year.). I would update once a week, frequently missing them, whenever life got a little too in the way. At around the one year mark I took a break and subsequently re-attacked it, moving up to 2 comics a week. At my two year anniversary I again stepped it up, this time to three a week, where it has stayed.

And now, after three years and 300 comics, I want nothing more than to keep doing this as long as I can. My goal is to bump it up to five updates a week, but rather than increase my output this year again, I decided to focus instead on increasing their individual quality.

I’m in it for the long haul, so at the end of another year, I will reevaluate and decide if it’s time to add more per week.

In the meanwhile, I want to thank everyone who reads this comic, everyone who re-tweets it, and even the people who only remember it once every couple of months and stop by to check it out. Thank you all so much. It’s chiche, but knowing people enjoy it is all the motivation to keep cranking them out.
